What is the Omicron Variant?

COVID-19 Update

Getting a booster shot can protect against variants. Visit https://myturn.ca.gov/ to make an appointment.

The World Health Organization named the new version of the virus “omicron” and classified it as a highly transmissible variant of concern, though its actual risks are not yet understood. While the Omicron variant is cause for concern but not panic, you may feel more at ease getting a COVID-19 test. Testing is available at several locations across the county with options available to you at no cost. Visit the San Diego County website to find a location near you. https://bit.ly/3G3cqzs

Additionally, the CDC now recommends all adults 18+ should get booster shots when eligible. Learn more about booster shot details by visiting the CDC website here: https://bit.ly/32RCGPj
