TAKING CARE POST TRANSPLANT WITH EXERCISE

Staying healthy after your transplant is just as important as staying healthy while on dialysis. Studies show starting an exercise regimen shortly after transplant leads to improved measures of physical performance without adversely impacting patients’ kidney function.

After a kidney transplant, some would agree you wake up shortly after surgery feeling like you could run a marathon. Try to hold onto that feeling and get to work on an exercise plan you’d enjoy. We’re not all excited about going to a gym or able to hire a personal trainer or even like exercising. But knowing it can help extend your kidney life? Would that make a difference?
