ReMend was honored to be a part of the inspiring A Hero’s Journey event at the Sharp Prebys Innovation and Education Center. Alongside Balboa Nephrology, Balboa United, and Balboa Research, we gathered to share knowledge, motivation, and support within the kidney care community.
At the heart of the event were the powerful stories of our ReMend Mentors, Dawn Bertoni with her mother, Pam, and Emmitt Henderson III. Their journeys have profoundly impacted the understanding of the challenges faced by kidney patients and have helped shaped a patient-centered approach.
We were privileged to learn about the latest advancements in kidney care from our esteemed partners: the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), NxStage, Fresenius, IKONA, LifeSharing, and the Sharp HealthCare Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program. Their expertise and commitment to improving patient outcomes are invaluable to our mission.
The day concluded with a relaxing group meditation session led by Chopra Center Global Coach Mentor, Micole Noble, providing attendees with a moment of peace and reflection.
