WHAT IS A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN?

There is incredible news heading our way in January 2021! Currently, if you are a dialysis patient with chronic kidney disease, your insurance options are limited, especially having to qualify and then of course, the monthly or annual deductibles can just about drain our financial resources. That is about to change for us in 2021 as we may be eligible to apply for or change to Medicare Advantage Plans.

What this means for you, is if you are currently on Medicare and have a secondary supplemental plan, it's likely you also have a Part D plan for prescriptions as well. Medicare Advantage plans are all wrapped up into one plan and are likely to be less costly!  Keep in mind more information will be coming out as we move closer to open enrollment in October but be sure to check in with your Insurance Coordinator or Social Worker at your clinic for more information.
