KEEP MOVING FOR GOOD MENTAL HEALTH

With everything happening in the world right now including closures of local businesses, we may find it difficult to remain active especially with self-isolation and social distancing.  However, there are still many things we can do at home.  It’s been proven that physical activity helps with not only our physical state but our mental state as well.

Exercise is a natural and effective anti-anxiety treatment. It relieves tension and stress, boosts physical and mental energy, and enhances well-being through the release of endorphins. Anything that gets you moving can help. 

  • Try walking up and down stairs at home if you have them. 

  • Take a walk around your neighborhood. 

  • Find a yoga or stretching class online on YouTube etc.

So, keep up exercising at home or create a new routine!  Not only will you be improving your physical health, but you’ll enjoy mental health benefits as well.
